Wyclef is back in politics…uh oh
At first I was a little sketched out by the fact that Wyclef Jean is joining "Campaign Money Watch" to try and turn out young people and minorities to vote this midterm election. I mean, come on, at this point, anything involving "Wyclef Jean" and "politics" is sketchy. But then I realized, basically, since Wyclef IS sketchy, it is probably more damaging for whoever he is aligned with than the people is fighting against. Wyclef released a statement about joining the campaign (of course, how could he resist not getting attention for this?) and said, demonstrating he would not have been an effective president for Haiti, that "what I saw and felt in the US, my second home country, with all the haters and money craziness in the campaigns, is almost puts the chaos of Haitian politics to shame, you know?"No, 'Clef, I don't know. "Money craziness?" If we're going to talk about "money craziness," let's talk about Moxie Media's troubles (which I'm still cackling gleefully about). The Huffington Post reports that Campaign Money Watch, a project of Public Campaign Action Fund, will be spending $750k on media advertising in six battleground states---Colorado, Illinois, Missouri, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin--to try to turn voters out to prevent Republicans from being elected.
