The real reason Lupe didn’t release another mixtape

Initially, I thought Lupe didn’t make the sequel to Enemy of the State: A Love Story because he was getting ready to climb Mt. Kilimijaro with some other “celebrities” to raise global awareness for clean drinking water. I think it’s great people do that, but then they turn a blind eye to the problems in our own country. For example, Oprah opened a school in Africa, yet there are terrible problems with the education system here, most noticibly in Detroit where there is a 18% graduation rate from high school. But no, the reason that Lupe didn’t do another mixtape was not philanthropical. No one should be surprised by this, but it is because he is still being dramatic about the fact that “I’m Beamin” leaked. “People had stuff they shouldn’t have had,” he says. My favorite part, though, was when he said, “there’s really investigations going on.” He just needs to let it go. Seriously. I’m getting tired of blogging about it. He brings up a good point of not wanting too much of his material out there, old or new, but it doesn’t seem like he has too much out there. He has a couple albums, and a mixtape that is about 20 minutes long. So basically, he has more material out there than Gucci Mane (that should be read with sarcasm).
