In ground breaking news, here are Rihanna’s two performances from SNL. Obviously they’re waaaay more newsworthy than Climagate, since you would see anything from Rihanna on CNN before you’d see anything about the “data” behind global warming being a farce. Anyway, Rihanna performed the yawn-inducing single “Russian Roulette” first. Homegirl’s bringing the 1400′s back like they’re in style with that chainmail headpiece. Her face looks really pretty, so it goes to show that the problem is that hair and possibly also that fivehead.

Good thing Rihanna changes her hairstyle every week, because I am not digging the bowl cut, which was big for boys back when I was in 2nd grade (circa 1994). Her jacket appears to have shoulder pads made out of road kill, and bedazzled in bottle caps (boy would my cats enjoy ripping that apart). While I’m unabashedly hating on what she’s wearing, I think she’s kind of cute the way she’s dancing around. I’ve seen her twice in concert (unwilling; she opened for Kanye) and I never saw any type of personality like in this performance. Now, Jeezy on the other hand, I have some problems with. He’s wearing his all black (biting my style) and shouts out his favorite person in the world, Obama. Jeezy still hasn’t gotten over the fact that a black president has been elected; maybe if her had, he’d notice that Obama’s approval rating, via CNN, has fallen below 50%.

Anyway, Rihanna just announced that she will be going on a “very long world tour.” Vocally, she’s nothing to write home about, but at least these SNL performances weren’t nearly as painful as Kanye’s were to promote 808s. Nonetheless, I can’t imagine sitting through a concert where she is headlining.
