Lil Wayne covers XXL

Based on what I’m reading about the interview with my man Weezy over at XXL, this sounds like it’s going to be one crackin’ interview.

Case in point? Here is an excerpt of what he tells writer Shaheem Reed:

“What is good about me is that I’m an interesting muthafucka. I’m Dwayne Michael Carter period! Whether I’m a rapper or not, I’m interesting. And that’s what my album’s gonna be about: me and how interesting I am.”

I am definitely going to cop this issue. I think the last issue I purchased was the disappointing Freshmen of 2011 one. In addition to that trill cover, the interview sounds really interseting (to borrow a word from Weezy).

Weezy also talks about his retirement, which I hope does not happen any time soon. He cited the reason that he wants to be there for his kids, which I completely understand and respect, but this blogger would be sad if Weezy retired. Really, really sad.
