Hot song – “Freaks and Geeks” by Childish Gambino

Childish Gambino is an artist who I’ve never written about, or listened to before for that matter, but I figured I should just check out his new song “Freaks and Geeks” after seeing it on a couple east coast blogs that I frequent. You might recognize Childish Gambino because he is the same person as Donald Glover, who is in the show Community (can’t say that I’ve watched it before).

I probably won’t watch Community any time soon (not trashy enough…), but Childish Gambino/Donald Glover, you’re on my radar! The more I listen to “Freaks and Geeks,” the more I like it. The high energy, upbeat instrumentals are really catchy and infectious, and his flow definitely separates him from the rest. Plus, it’s a great workout song and I can relate to being a geek! Donald Glover also does stand-up comedy, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he made me laugh with lines like ”I am running this bitch, you are just a dog walker.”

    This song is sick!
    Just saying, you should watch Community. Donald Glover and the rest of the cast are hilarious. It has a lot of gimmicks but once you get used to it it is pretty awesome
