The 3 artists who I thought FOR SURE would make the XXL 2011 Freshmen list didn’t, but all my other guesses were decent

Even Diggy is like “how did I get on the cover with these fools?” XXL just released a high resolution image of their highly anticipated cover after it leaked. No wonder people say hip hop is dying; we should be concerned if this is the future! XXL put Lil Twist, CyHi Da Prynce, Big K.R.I.T., Meek Mill, Diggy Simmons, Kendrick Lamar, Yelawolf, Fred The Godson, Mac Miller, YG, and Lil B on their cover.

Lil B has been rolling with The Pack since 2004, I didn’t know Twist did anything besides go on ustream with Weezy, and YG? Really?

Oh well, at least my neighborhood Bartell’s store still has the 2010 Freshmen issue on their shelves. I guess I can just get that one instead.

I also guessed: Mac Miller (never listened to him before but he has almost 200k fans on Facebook), Diggy Simmons (only because Lupe and Pharrell like him, I haven’t listened to him..but I see that customized Melody Ehsani ring!), Kendrick Lamar, Yelawolf (can’t stand him), Lil B, Waka Flocka Flame (I know, I know), and then some combination of Big K.R.I.T./CyHi Da Prynce/Chip the Ripper since I’ve never listened to any of them.
