Lil Wayne breaks the trend and pays off his tax debt to Big Brother

Here’s an uplifting story to start off your Monday. Detroit News reports that Weezy has squared away all his tax debt to the Fed with a document that shows Weezy paid off his $1.13 IRS tax lien back in late November of 2010. Even though I’m biased toward Weezy, I’m glad that I’m not reporting that he owes even more money to Big Brother.

With the exception of Nas, and probably Swizz Beatz, I’m hoping that this year, rappers get their taxes done and put that special task force assembled by the IRS out of business. Sadly, I can’t see Nas squaring off his tax debt. Earlier I reported that Timbaland almost got his condo foreclosed, but he paid that off when it was brought to his attention, and Lil Jon is on The Apprentice to seemingly get some cash to pay off those tax liens filed in South Carolina.
