Hot video – Kelly Rowland “Down For Whatever”

Kelly Rowland is prettttty fierce, although I’m not in love with that wig she’s wearing in the beginning. I actually hate it, and now that I think about it, I’m pretty sure that’s the haircut my mom always wants me to get, sans the bangs. Not cute or stylish at all. I mean, if you’re going to go to the trouble of wearing a wig, at least wear something that doesn’t look like it was copped at a pop up Halloween store.

Despite the fact that “Down For Whatever” caters to the European audience with the techno, where Kelly’s main fan base is to my understanding, it was still one of my favorite cuts off Here I Am and I normally hate techno. On the whole, the album felt like mindless pop. I was hoping that all the songs would be like “Motivation,” but that was not the case.

As seemingly unimaginative as this video seems, it’s exactly what I imagined it to be. Good or bad, you decide. It is very reminiscent of this club that we used to go to in the Testaccio neighborhood of Rome on Thursdays, and I think it was named Metropolitan, but I’m not sure. I can’t confirm that, and The Google isn’t helping me out. It’s either not named that, or went out of business a long time ago. Anyway, it was cool because there were two large rooms, one with American (read: hiphop) music, and then techno in the other room. And strobe lights, too. AKA the European room was the epitome of this music video.
