OCCUPY WALL STREET from Creative Control on Vimeo.

As I sipped my sangria and wore my new favorite outfit of red jeans and purple sneakers, all hell was breaking loose at Occupy Wall Street at the epicenter of the movement. Police in riot gear raided the camps early in the morning (or late in the night on the Best Coast) to clear out Zuccotti Park because the Billion Dollar Mayor wanted them out so the park could be used by everyone, and cleaned. I think.

Creative Control is an online TV website that has music videos, shows, and other types of videos, that is based out of New York City, and I want to say out of Dame Dash’s DD172 media collective. In other words, they film really dope videos.

I thought it was super ironic, and super interesting, that the song they would pair with the Occupy Wall Street footage was “Niggas in Paris,” a song about, well, the lifestyle of the 1% that the protesters are protesting against.
