Hot video – Trey Songz ft. Fabolous “What I Be On”
Trey Songz definitely puts the “hot” in “hot video.” Of course that has nothing to do with the fact that the name of my blog includes the word “hot.” As you are probably aware of by now, I always luhh Trey Songz, and I luhh him even more when he’s not yodeling over tracks. I definitely like his club bangers more than I like his ballads.
To be honest, the video for “What I Be On” kind of looks like a parody of every big-budget rap video between 1995 and 2010, and I quickly realized that. When he and Fab are in front of that red wall, the lighting actually reminds me of Fab’s “Everything, Everyday, Everywhere” video that has scenes like that. Plus, the limo scene was highly reminiscent of Weezy’s “Lollipop” video. And then all the video hoes are like every other rap video.
But Trey is still finer than average, so I’m not complaining even if Fabolous is in there. So, after I got over Trey’s blinding beauty, and the fact that the video is like a parody, I realized that there are a lot of funny little moments in the video. Just like nothing notable, whether it’s a funny face, or Trey looking like a creep. I laughed.
