Hot video – Freddie Gibbs ft. Dom Kennedy & Polyester “Menace II Society”

Freddie Gibbs is highly entertaining to me, and he happens to be a good rapper, no less! At his show in Seattle a month or whatever ago, someone was asking him if he did coke, I think, because he had something hanging out of his nose, but it just turned out to be a huge booger, and he stopped his set to take care of it. Plus, he was great live, and I had a good time despite being quite hungover from the previous night.

Freddie is pretty hood, and Dom Kennedy doesn’t strike me as being a “Menace II Society.” In fact, I watched his show earlier this week, and he was so completely unoffending in every way that he was a little boring. I’m sure I was in the small minority who felt that way, though, since Neumos sold out and was packed by 9, which is super early for Seattle.

And then I’ve never heard of Polyester. I don’t know why you would name yourself after a gross fabric? I hate the feeling of fake textiles on my skin. Polyester, the fabric, is a menace to society.

I like this video. The Infamous Green Streets directed this, and I like how it is simple but still trill. I had to wonder, though, if I only liked it because it’s sunny and I miss the sun, but I don’t think that’s entirely the case.
