It’s ok, John, I still love you…

John Legend recently spoke with one of my least favorite news sources (no, not CNN) but HuffPo to talk about some stuff, among other things his upcoming album and Obama.  You can read the whole interview here.

Legend says that “a lot of people expected even more… [than how] he’s gotten health care passed, he’s almost passed a very significant financial reform, he passed a huge stimulus which is a more than just about any president has got done in their first year and a half.”  Yes, I expected more, but have found myself desiring less.

Anyway, Legend and The Roots are teaming up for the album “Wake Up,” which is dropping on September 21st.  The album is a collection of political, social, and war protest songs from the 60′s and 70′s, and “Shine” will be the only original composition.

It looks like September is shaping up to be a pretty good month for music, with Kanye, Cudi, Big Sean, and now Legend and The Roots…and those releases are just off the top of my head.
