“…the numbers don’t lie…”
The numbers are in. Drizzy’s debut Thank Me Later moved 447,700 units in the first week, which is the best introductory sales we have seen this year. I think if Drizzy had released his album sooner, he would have sold much more. I probably would have purchased his album if I hadn’t got bored of him, to be honest.
Yesterday, Eminem’s most recent effort Recovery was dropped. He is projected to sell between 590-615k units in his first week. I’m not sure if I’m going to buy his album, let alone download it. This is really embarassing to admit, but I’ll go ahead and do it because I don’t think anyone really reads my blog: I’m eagerly anticipating Dream’s and Puffy’s (Dirty Money’s) new albums.
And I’m sure that when the C4 drops, these numbers will seem minimal.
