Hot song – Chief Keef & King Louie “Ignorance” #TrapTuesdays

Young Chief Keef has been quite the lightning rod of controversy lately, so it seems, mostly for glamorizing a gangsta lifestyle and getting attention for it. I think. That's like a short paraphrasing of all the articles (and by all articles, I mean two), both pro and con, that I've read on the 16 year old. Keef and fellow Chicago rapper/Tha Blog is Hot Trap Tuesdays favorite King Louie are working on a project together titled Chiefs and Kings (how trill...you know how much I love my puns...!) and of course I'm excited for it, especially after "Ignorance." Not only do I like both of these guys--admittedly, though, I do have to be in a specific mood for Keef's raps. I can't start my work day listening to this guy because it just won't end well--but "Ignorance" pretty much sums up one of my favorite aspects of why I love trap rap. Is Chicago lowkey becoming the next big trap rap locale? I'm not sure yet, but you know that Tha Blog is Hot will keep you posted. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but it's nonetheless interesting to me that Chi-Town is suddenly a force to be reckoned with in the trap rap scene. Or maybe I'm just ignorant (get it?). Btw, I still don't know what "drill" means in the context of Chicago hip hop. Download at FSD
