Aziz Ansari on his time with Kanye West

OMG this Aziz Ansari person is hilarious. I sincerely hope everything he says about spending time with Kanye West is factual because, well, that would make it even funnier. I can relate to his verbal interpretation of Kanye's emails. Whenever I read Meek Mills' tweets, I imagine him yelling it at me. I'll go ahead and state the obvious: Aziz is hella funny AND he's wearing a nice suit! #wavy. Spotted on Twitter

OMFG Drake debuts the Wheelchair Jimmy dance…!!!!!

Wheelchair Jimmy paying homage to the days when he was Wheelchair Jimmy...OMG. Drake's dancing was always more than slightly amusing to me (see the beginning of the video?) but his Wheelchair Jimmy dance made me laugh so hard. It looks like some weirdo calisthenics move that my trainer would make me do, except I would nix that shit. I'm not trying to look like Drake in the middle of the weight room! Sadly, Drizzy and his Wheelchair Jimmy dance aren't coming to Seattle any time soon, so I'll just have to watch this video over and over. And rock this dance in the club this weekend, of course. Pharrell has green hair…?

Pharrell debuted some green hair at the Paris Fashion Week last week... Fortunately, he's so beautiful he can get away with almost anything, although I have to admit, I am not feeling the green hair. A while back, he revealed he dyed his hair green in honor of his new fashion line with McNairy. I also recently read that he has a three year old son named Rocket. For someone who alleges that they love Pharrell as much as they do, I'm not doing a very good job at internet stalking him because I didn't know he had a luxury fashion line with McNairy, or a son, named Rocket, for that matter. Hot video – Waka Flocka Flame ft. Drake “Round of Applause” #TrapTuesdays

The "Round of Applause" song, despite being produced by Lex Luger, always makes me yawn. I guess I'm not the hugest Waka Flocka Flame fan. I've just always thought it was boring for some reason, but fortunately, Drake's dancing in the background of this Mr. Boomtown-directed video saves the day by making me laugh. Oh, Wheelchair Jimmy, I appreciate you for all the wrong reasons.

Lil Kim calls Nicki Minaj a “Stupid Hoe” on Watch What Happens Live

I don't know why this makes me laugh so much, but Lil Kim calling Nicki Minaj a "stupid hoe" was extremely, extremely funny to me. It's like Kimmy is almost being vindicated or something after Nicki's terrible performance from the Grammy's. Sure, I think their beef, that Nicki Minaj is largely responsible for continuing, is stupid, but homegirl kind of walked into that one, making that terrible song called "Stupid Hoe" with the terrible video that was later banned by BET. Ah, the irony. Spotted at HHNM

Hot video – Gucci Mane “North Pole”

"North Pole" is a hilarious song, and I don't think that I realized that when it dropped initially. The East Atlanta Santa is on point in both this song and video. I don't think it's supposed to be funny, but I was laughing. Where is Rudolph's red nose when you need him? If you're wearing black Versace sunglasses at night, and breaking into a house, isn't Rudolph smart enough to show up if he can guide the whole team through the fog? February 5th is going to be great. Not because that football game is on, and not because Trap Back is dropping, but because I'm getting my hair cut. #Realtalk.

“Shit Drake Says” is pretty funny, but not as funny as “Shit Julie Says” would be

I'm kind of indifferent to all these "Shit People Say" memes that were birthed from the "Shit Black Girls Say" (I think?). There's like a million of 'em now, including "Shit Seattle People Say When It Snows," and each new one is less funny. That isn't a hyperbole. It's probably an algorithm that my homeboy Steven could crack in Excel. However, I find this "Shit Drake Says" version to be quite humorous, mostly because that guy has the Drizzy wave down pat and because he's using song excerpts instead of saying stuff. My favorite part is the scene with the girl starting at 1:35 when he has that blanket pulled up to his chin (while wearing his beanie and sunglasses) that alternates between him dancing around in the grass like a goober. Yeah, I said it, goober. I bet Drizzy has said it before, too. And now there's "Shit Music Bloggers Say" which left me unamused. I didn't laugh out loud. Maybe I'm just jealous that Elliot Wilson has never retweeted me...nah, definitely not. I actually don't base my self-worth on who does or doesn't follow or RT me on twitter. As I was thinking about it more, though, it seems like an accurate portrayal of music bloggers. Maybe we're all just boring. #RealTalk. I think a spin-off of that "Shit Music Bloggers Say" could be "Shit Julie Says." Frankly, it's more fun to mock myself than to think I'm a boring music blogger. I'd be wearing all black, in my dungeon apartment, with J's on. Here is what I would say in the video: "I love all the colors in this music video. I'm such a sucker for pretty colors." "I really, really love trap music! Oh my God, the DJ is playing trap music right ...

Trina stars in ad for Tax USA

Of all the people to be hosting America's Next Top Rapper...of all the people to be endorsing a tax service...of course it's Trina. Florida tax service Tax USA hired her for this commercial. After checking out their website, it doesn't appear that Trina works there, despite her use of "we" throughout the commercial. Anyway, how painful was this to watch? Is it that hard to do takes right on the first time? Brutal. And don't forget to pay your taxes. Otherwise, people like the dude in front of me at Ballard Market (one of the more pricier grocery stores in Seattle) won't be able to use their foodstamps at upscale stores. Either he's taking advantage of the government, which I have a problem with, he's too stupid to stretch his dollar at cheaper grocery stores, which I have a problem with, or the government is allowing themselves to be taken advantage of, which I also have a problem with. Tax dollars at work so he can spend extra on Oroweat English Muffins at Ballard Market than at Fred Meyer. Do you think Trina has ever missed paying her taxes? Rappers are notorious for not paying taxes... But if she's doing shit like this, is she even making enough to warrant paying taxes? Part of me wants to say no.

Do people actually think that this is funny?

Today is one of those days...(I won't elaborate; use your imagination). Jimmy Kimmel did a skit of sorts for Kanye's new think tank Donda that he terrorized Twitter with for hours the other night. On the outset, a commercial of Kanye tweets would be funny. I was a little excited to watch it during lunch since today has been so stupid, and Kanye is notorious for humorous (and grammatically incorrect) tweets. Since they're advertising it as a commercial about Donda--named after his mother--I figured that it would consist of those tweets, but it didn't. It wasn't even funny. When I left for work this morning, did I leave my sense of humor at home? Or did it mysteriously vanish one day and I didn't notice? I'm also left wondering if anyone actually cares that Kanye tweeted 86 times, or whatever statistic Jimmy Kimmel threw out there? Like, dude, can't you at least make fun of the Republican presidential candidates or something? "Throwing some kazoo on this bitch" is funny, but that had nothing to do with Yeezy's "twitter rant" about Donda. In fact, it wasn't a "rant," either, but more of a tweet spree. What was he ranting about? He was tweeting about this creative think tank and how he wants to change the world. Okay, I'm done. See, my blog post was kind of a rant. I took issue with the fact that Jimmy Kimmel's video wasn't funny, and that he wasn't using the work "rant" correctly.

Hot video – Odd Christmas 2¢XM∆$ 2011 by 2 Cent Entertainment

2-Cent is a grassroots media collective that is a "collaborative effort of creative, frustrated, and comedic twenty-somethings" out of New Orleans, and you can read more about what they're doing on their website. Each year, they do a hilarious video like this as a gift to their supporters. In case you're wondering, the 2011>2010. I just watched it. I thought I posted the 2010 version last year, but I can't find it (I didn't look every hard, either). Anyway, this is pretty hilarious, and it's hard to pick my favorite feature, but I'm going to have to go with Lil B on this one."Matter fact call me baby Jesus 'cause I look like George Bush." So Based. The order of appearances are: Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, Plies, Rick Ross, Beyonce, J.Cole, Jay-Z & Kanye West, Tyler the Creator, Kreayshawn, Lil B, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Birdman, Drake, Wyclef, Rihanna and LMFAO.
